Norwaco is a union for copyrights holders in audiovisual works in Norway. The organization administrates copyrighted works used by broadcasters. It was established in 1983. Norwegian Society Of Composers
The Norwegian Society of Composers () was founded in 1917. The Society's main objectives are to promote its members' music and secure their rights. As of today the Society counts close to 400 members who meet regularly for discussions and seminars. The Society works towards creating opportunities for the dissemination of contemporary music and for increasing public awareness of this art form. Contemporary music is promoted via several channels, including the society's record label Aurora, and through collaboration with concert producers and festivals. The Society negotiates on behalf of its members in matters concerning remuneration and performing rights. Norwegian Authors' Union
The Norwegian Authors' Union (, DnF) is an association of Norwegian authors. It was established in 1893 to promote Norwegian literature and protect Norwegian authors' professional and economic interests. DnF also works in solidarity with persecuted writers internationally. As of 2004 the association had 513 members. The author Heidi Marie Kriznik has led the organization since 2017. Organization activities The Norwegian Authors' Union Literary Council annually awards a number of government and independently established scholarships to both members and non-members. The Literary Council consists of nine members and provides counsel on all matters of literary art, in addition to decisions on awards. The Norwegian Union of Journalists (, NJ) is a trade union in Norway. It consists of approximately 8,500 editorial personnel in newspapers, magazines, television and radio, as well as freelancers and students. A member organization of the Norwegian Press Association, it is not a part of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions. Instead it negotiates directly with the Norwegian Media Businesses' Association as well as representatives for television and radio channels.
