Norifumi Abe
, or was a Japanese professional motorcycle road racing, road racer. He competed in the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championships from to . Abe died in a road traffic accident, road traffic crash in October 2007. Career Abe was born to , a Auto Race (Japanese sport), paved flat track rider, in Tokyo. When he was eleven, Abe began racing minimoto, minibikes and spent his earlier career competing in motocross. He turned to road racing when he was fifteen and also competed in the United States. In 1992, Abe was the runner up in the 250 cc category for the domestic National A championship. The following year at the All Japan Road Race Championship, Abe won the 500 cc title in the category's final year and became the youngest title winner. Suzuka Circuit
The , the , is a long motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka, Mie, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda, Honda Motor Co, Ltd. It has a capacity of 155,000. It is most well known by its use by both the international Formula One; and Japanese Super Formula championships. Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet
The Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet (Nelson Piquet International Racetrack), also known as Jacarepaguá after Jacarepaguá, the neighbourhood in which it was located, and also as the Autódromo Riocentro, was a motorsport circuit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Opened in January 1978, a few weeks before the 1978 Brazilian Grand Prix, it hosted the Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix on ten occasions, and was also used for Championship Auto Racing Teams, CART, Grand Prix motorcycle racing, motorcycle racing and stock car racing. Season summary The dominant reign of Honda's Mick Doohan came to an end with serious injuries suffered in practice for the Spanish Grand Prix. In his absence, his Honda teammate Àlex Crivillé stepped forward and claimed Spain's first-ever 500cc world championship. Kenny Roberts Jr. gave a strong performance to finish in second with four victories including an outright victory over Doohan in Japan. Luis d'Antin (born 2 January 1964) is a Spanish former professional motorcycle road racer and motorcycle racing team owner. He competed in the Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championships between 1989 and 1998. Motorcycle racing career Born in Madrid, Spain, d'Antin had his best year in 1996 when he finished sixth in the 250cc world championship. He also won the European 600cc Championship in 1991. The 1995 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 47th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Season summary Honda's Mick Doohan captured his second consecutive 500cc crown in 1995. Suzuki's Daryl Beattie had an early season points lead but crashed and injured himself in practice at Assen. Luca Cadalora again won two races for Yamaha but failed to show any consistency. Kenneth Leroy Roberts (born December 31, 1951) is an American former professional motorcycle racer and racing team owner. In 1978, he became the first American to win a Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championship. He was also a two-time winner of the A.M.A. Grand National Championship. Roberts is one of only four riders in American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) racing history to win the AMA Grand Slam, representing Grand National wins at a mile, half-mile, short-track, TT Steeplechase and road race events.
