Nolinae

	Nolinae Nolinae is a subfamily of the moth family Nolidae. The subfamily was erected by Charles Théophile Bruand d'Uzelle in 1846. 	Manoba ''Manoba'' is a genus of moths in the family Nolidae. The genus was first described by Francis Walker in 1863. Description Palpi long and porrect (extending forward), where the first two joints thickly scaled. Antennae heavily bipectinated (comb like on both sides) in male. Mid tibia with single pair of spurs, and hind tibia with two pairs. Forewings with vein 3 from before angle of cell, veins 4 and 5 from angle, vein 6 from upper angle, veins 7 and 8 stalked and veins 9 and 10 absent. 	Nolidae Nolidae is a family of moths with about 1,700 described species worldwide. They are mostly small with dull coloration, the main distinguishing feature being a silk cocoon with a vertical exit slit. The group is sometimes known as tuft moths, after the tufts of raised scales on the forewings of two subfamilies, Nolinae and Collomeninae. The larvae also tend to have muted colors and tufts of short hairs. Formerly, this group was included in the Noctuidae. 	Aedemon (moth) Aedemon () was a freedman of Berber origins from Mauretania who lived in the 1st century AD. Aedemon was a loyal former household slave to the client King Ptolemy of Mauretania, who was the son of King Juba II and the Ptolemaic Princess Cleopatra Selene II. Ptolemy was murdered in unknown circumstances while on a visit in Rome on order of his unstable second cousin, the Roman Emperor Caligula in late 40. From loyalty and memory of his former master, Aedemon wanted to avenge Ptolemy and started the revolt in the Kingdom of Mauretania against Rome. Few people from the kingdom joined in the revolt, however. One inscription from Volubilis, a major town of the kingdom, shows that at least a significant part of the town's population fought against Aedemon. The power vacuum created an opportunity for indigenous tribes to assume independence.
