Noisiel
Noisiel () is a commune in the French department of Seine-et-Marne, administrative region of Île-de-France. It is located in the eastern suburbs of Paris, from the center of Paris. The commune of Noisiel is part of the Val Maubuée sector, one of the four sectors in the "new town" of Marne-la-Vallée. Demographics Inhabitants of Noisiel are called ''Noisiéliens''. The population of Noisiel increased sharply in the 1970s, and has since stabilised around 15,000 inhabitants. Menier Chocolate
The Menier Chocolate company () is a French chocolate manufacturing business founded in 1816 as a Pharmacology, pharmaceutical manufacturer in Paris, at a time when chocolate was used as a medicinal product and was only one part of the overall business. Founded by Antoine Brutus Menier, the company remained managed by his family until 1971, when it was acquired by Rowntree Mackintosh Confectionery. In 1988, Menier became part of Swiss conglomerate Nestlé when it acquired Rowntree Mackintosh. In 1996, Menier moved production to Swiss city Broc, where it has remained since then. Noisiel station is a railway station on the Réseau Express Régional train network in Noisiel, Seine-et-Marne. Description History Noisiel station opened on 19 December 1980, when RER line A was extended to Torcy, as well as Noisy–Champs and Lognes stations. Traffic , the estimated annual attendance by the RATP Group was 3,016,034 passengers. Transport Train The average waiting time for trains to Paris and to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is 10 minutes. But during peak hours most trains bound to Chessy do not stop at Noisiel, and passengers may take the trains that are bound to Torcy. Antoine Gilles Menier
Antoine Gilles Florent Menier (October 13, 1904 – August 12, 1967) was a French businessman and municipal politician who was a member of the prominent Menier family of chocolatiers. Born in Paris, Antoine Menier was the eldest of the four sons of Georges Menier (1880–1933) and Simone Camille Marie Legrand (1881–1972). He studied at the Lycée Condorcet in Paris but had little interest in business and did not go on to advanced studies. Instead, he used his wealth to pursue a life of sporting activities. An auto racing enthusiast, Antoine Menier set a number of records driving Alfa Romeo vehicles in hillclimbing events. In 1933 Antoine Menier became the mayor of Lognes, a town about south of the family's factories in Noisiel. He held the mayoral position until 1945 when his uncle Jacques Menier died. Henri Menier
Henri Émile Anatole Menier (; July 14, 1853 – September 6, 1913) was a French businessman and adventurer and a member of the Menier family of chocolatiers. Born in Paris, he was the son of Émile-Justin Menier and grandson to Antoine Brutus Menier who founded the Menier Chocolate company. On his father's death in 1881, Henri Menier became mayor of Noisiel, an office he held for 32 years until his death in 1913. The beneficiary of a substantial fortune, and having a large annual income from the family business, he spent a great deal of his time and money pursuing various leisure interests, notably yachting and auto racing.
