Nick Jr. Rocks
''Nick Rocks: Video to Go'', usually shortened to ''Nick Rocks'', is a music video television series that aired on American cable channel Nickelodeon from 1984 to 1989. It features pop and rock music videos over a 30-minute timeframe, presented in a countdown format. The show was typically hosted by a man identified on-air as "Joe from Chicago". Most episodes feature Joe traveling to various locations to hear viewers request specific music videos. Several guest hosts were featured over the program's run, such as The Monkees and They Might Be Giants. Music videos played on the show were decided using request letters sent in by viewers. In 1987, five to six thousand requests were received weekly. Edd Kalehoff
Edward Woodley Kalehoff Jr. (born September 1, 1945) is an American television composer who specializes in compositions for television, known for his work on the Moog synthesizer. Kalehoff composed the musical themes to the game shows '' The Price Is Right'' and '' Double Dare'', as well as for '' ABC World News Tonight'', '' Monday Night Football'', and '' PBS News Hour''. Early life Kalehoff was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. His father, Edward Woodley "Woody" Kalehoff Sr., played piano in the White House for presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman. He attended the University of the Arts (then known as the Philadelphia Musical Academy), graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Music degree. Norman Cahners
Norman Lee Cahners (1914–1986) was a major American publisher and philanthropist. The Cahners Publishing Company, which he founded in 1960, had grown into the largest U.S. publisher of trade or business magazines at the time of Cahner's death, three weeks before he was scheduled to retire. Cahners Publishing survived into the early 2000s as Cahners Business Information, a division of the British and Dutch-based Reed Elsevier publishing empire.
