Neon Indian is an American electronic music band from Denton, Texas. The music is composed by Mexican-born Alan Palomo (born July 24, 1988), who is also part of the band Ghosthustler and releases solo music under his birth name and the stage name VEGA. The project has been characterized as defining the 2010s music genre chillwave. The band's debut studio album, '' Psychic Chasms'', was released in October 2009 to favorable reviews. ''Rolling Stone'' named Neon Indian one of the best new bands of 2010. Their second studio album, ''Era Extraña'', was released in September 2011, followed by '' Vega Intl. Denton is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the county seat of Denton County, Texas, Denton County. Seth Haley, known by his stage name Com Truise, is an American electronic musician and DJ. His stage name is a spoonerism of the name of American actor Tom Cruise. Biography Prior to 2010, Haley had released music under the pseudonyms Sarin Sunday, SYSTM, and Airliner. In 2010, the first Com Truise recording, the ''Cyanide Sisters'' EP, was released. Initially, the EP was a free download from the AMDISCS record label. Ghostly International digitally reissued it in January 2011. Haley resigned from his job as art director prior to this release. Purity Ring is a Canadian electronic pop band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, formed in 2010. The band consists of multi-instrumentalist/producer Corin Roddick and vocalist Megan James. They released their debut album ''Shrines (Purity Ring album), Shrines'' in 2012 to critical acclaim, followed by ''Another Eternity'' in 2015 and ''Womb (album), Womb'' in 2020.
