Marvin Watson Jr. (born March 19, 1976), better known by his stage name Messy Marv, is an American rapper from San Francisco, California. Messy was also known as a collaborator in the rap group Kaalman's Krew. Career Messy Marv released his first rap album, ''Messy Situationz'', in 1996. ''Explosive Mode'', his 1998 collaboration album with San Quinn, sold more than 50,000 copies. In 2005, Messy Marv started his own record label, Scalen LLC, and released a barrage of albums in 2004-2006. During the Hyphy, Hyphy movement, his songs "Get on My Hype" and "So Hood" received frequent radio airplay. On November 2, 2007, Messy Marv was released from jail after serving twelve months on weapons charges. Kafani
Amir Rashad, (born April 21, 1980) better known by his stage name Kafani, is an American rapper from the Funktown section of San Antonio, Oakland, California. He graduated from Oakland High School in 1998 where he played varsity baseball for the Wildcats. He is one half of the Oakland-based rap group Babyface Assassins. He is also signed to Thizz Nation, a subdivision of the late Mac Dre's label Thizz Entertainment. Legal issues & Controversies In February 2008, he was arrested on weapons and drug charges following a high speed car chase. On August 26, 2011, rumors were that Kafani started a feud with Lil B when he told the rapper in a YouTube video "When I come off house arrest I'm gonna embarrass your bitch ass." Thizz Entertainment is a Sacramento-based, originally independent record label, started in 1999 by rapper and music producer Andre Hicks, who was professionally known as Mac Dre, a poster child of the hyphy movement that swept through the Bay Area in the early 2000s. The label was relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area shortly after his untimely death. In 2004, Hicks was murdered by an unknown assailant while traveling after a performance in Kansas City, Missouri. Phillip Anthony Beasley (born January 30, 1983), known professionally as Philthy Rich is an American rapper. from Oakland, California. He began his musical career in 2004 with extensive work with local rappers on various projects. He enlisted rappers including Mistah F.A.B., J. Stalin, and Shady Nate to embark on his "Stan Bizzness BG's" tour, which was cancelled after Beasley was arrested for selling cocaine and cannabis, for which he was sentenced to six years in prison the following year.
