Darul Islam ( meaning ''House of Islam''), also known as Darul Islam/Islamic Armed Forces of Indonesia ( id, Darul Islam/Tentara Islam Indonesia, DI/TII), was an Islamist group that fought for the establishment of an Islamic state in Indonesia. It was established in 1942 by a group of Muslim militias, coordinated by a charismatic radical Muslim politician, Sekarmadji Maridjan Kartosoewirjo. Negara Daha was a Hindu kingdom successor of Negara Dipa that appears in the Hikayat Banjar. It was located in what is now the Regency of Hulu Sungai Selatan, Province of South Kalimantan, Republic of Indonesia. Early establishment Before the formation of the kingdoms in South Kalimantan, the people were still grouped based on the watershed area. The Negara River ( id, Sungai Negara or ) is a river of Borneo, Indonesia. It flows in the southeast region of the island, within the Negara District, province of South Kalimantan.
