Nedbank Golf Challenge
The Nedbank Golf Challenge, previously known as the Million Dollar Challenge, is an annual men's professional golf tournament played at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, North West province, South Africa. It was first played in 1981 and takes place towards the end of the year, in November or December. For many years the tournament was a small-field invitational stroke play event with typically 12 players competing. Since it became a European Tour event in 2013, the field size has increased, to 30 from 2013 to 2015 and to 72 in 2016. Originally it was not an official event for any of the major tours. From 2010 to 2012, a separate tournament for senior golfers was held concurrently. Sun City is a luxury resort and casino, situated in the North West Province (South Africa), North West Province of South Africa. Lee Trevino
Lee Buck Trevino (born December 1, 1939) is an American retired professional golfer who is regarded as one of the greatest players in golf history. Matthew Thomas Jordan (born 18 January 1996) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Jordan had a successful amateur career. 2025 European Tour
The 2025 European Tour, titled as the 2025 DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons, is the 54th season of the European Tour, the main professional golf tour in Europe since its inaugural season in 1972. It is the fourth season of the tour under a title sponsorship agreement with DP World that was announced in November 2021. Changes for 2025 The initial part of the schedule was announced in August 2024, with the "Opening Swing" events confirmed. Tournaments in Australia and Southern Africa were confirmed, with the return of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, which had not been part of the 2024 season due to scheduling changes.
