Neal Snyman
Neal Snyman (born Johannesburg, South Africa 23 March 1971) is one of South Africa's pre-eminent recording engineers. London: 1987–1995 After moving to London in 1987, Snyman engineered at Butterfly Studio for record-producer and ex-Killing Joke bassist Youth. He worked with Crowded House, Tom Jones, David Bowie, Boy George, Rollo, Faith No More, Heather Nova, Björk, System 7, Steve Hillage and Naomi Campbell. In the early 1990s Snyman began a long-standing and continuing working-relationship with record-producer Kevin Porée and Berry Street Studio, working with Mark Hole, Joy Tobing, Charlotte Gordon Cumming, Hiding in Public, George Stiles and Anthony Drewe and Freakin Habit Forms. Prime Circle are a South African rock band, based in Johannesburg. The band has released 7 studio albums and achieved either gold or platinum status in South Africa. The band has expanded its audience to England and Europe where they are represented by a German agent and have signed an international recording deal, performing at festivals and their own shows in Germany. Stimela
Stimela is a South African Afro-fusion band, founded during the 1970s by Ray Phiri, a self-taught guitarist. The band was formed when Phiri got together with drummer Isaac Mtshali, Thabo Lloyd Lelosa and Jabu Sibumbe, and they initially called themselves the Cannibals. The band started out as instrumentalists, but it later evolved to Afro-fusion when they joined forces with vocalist Jacob "Mparanyana" Radebe in 1975, continuing to work together for four years. The band kept going after Radebe died in 1978. They changed their name to Stimela after a life-changing experience in Mozambique when they were stranded in Maputo for three months. They had to sell all their belongings to take a train home. This trip was a watershed moment as it was where they conceived the new name for the band: train is translated as Stimela in Nguni languages. Springbok Nude Girls
The Springbok Nude Girls (a.k.a. the Nudies, or the Nude Girls) is a rock band from Cape Town, South Africa. An alternative rock band, the Nude Girls introduced punk rock, ska, acid jazz and heavy metal into their songs, introducing a new world of music to the youth of South Africa in the mid-to-late 1990s. They played their first big gig in September 1994 in Stellenbosch. Since then, the Nude girls have toured extensively. Mango Groove is an 11-piece South African Afropop band whose music fuses pop and township music—especially marabi and kwela. Since their foundation in 1984, the band has released six studio albums and numerous singles. Their most recent album, 2016's '' Faces to the Sun'', was more than four years in the making.
