The National Credit Network is an Iranian food, staple and other goods coupon ration program established by the government of Iran in June 2023. Grocery stores, wholesalers, and supermarkets can register to sell eligible products, while purchases made in a few national chain stores (such as Refah) may be covered by coupons. The program was a failure. It failed in providing better priced nutrition to poor people population shopping. The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare () is an Iranian government body responsible for the oversight of Cooperative business, regulation and implementation of policies applicable to labour and social affairs. It also oversees the Social Security (social welfare) of Iran. The social security (social welfare) program was formed on 3 August 2011 to insure the well-being of the people in Iran. This Ministry was formed in 2011 by merging the Ministry of Cooperatives, Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Social Welfare. Merging of Ministries lowers the number of employments positions. In the country, the activities of Minister of C.L.S. are focused on the regulation of labor laws, well-being of the workforce and stopping the brain drain. Refah Chain Stores Co
The Welfare Party (, RP) was an Islamist political party in Turkey. It was founded by Ali Türkmen, Ahmet Tekdal, and Necmettin Erbakan in Ankara in 1983 as heir to two earlier parties, National Order Party (MNP) and National Salvation Party (MSP), which were banned from politics. The RP participated in mayoral elections at that time and won in three cities Konya, Şanlıurfa, and Van. Their vote percentage was approximately 5%. The Welfare Party participated in the 1991 elections in a triple alliance with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and the Reformist Democracy Party (IDP). They gained 16.9% of the vote. They won 62 deputies to parliament, but 19 deputies of MHP (with founding Democratic Movement Party on 25 December 1991 and joining the MÇP on 29 December 1991) and 3 of IDP left the Welfare Party after the election. The Iranian Revolution (, ), also known as the 1979 Revolution, or the Islamic Revolution of 1979 (, ) was a series of events that culminated in the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty in 1979. Disability In Iran
According to 2015 data, more than 1.87 million Iranians with disabilities, or about 4.2% of the total population, were registered with the government. Although the law requires the collection of data on the number of individuals with disabilities, as well as on the types of disabilities; however, following a low 2011 national census statistic — which purported a mere 1.35% of the population as having disabilities — the Iran Statistics Center removed all questions relating to disability from the 2016 census. In 2014, the director of the State Welfare Organization of Iran's "Disabled Persons Empowerment Office", Keivan Davatgaran, stated that approximately 11% of the population was disabled.
