Nate Kalepo
Nate Kalepo (born August 5, 2001) is an American football offensive guard for the Ole Miss Rebels. He previously played for the Washington Huskies. Early life and high school Kalepo grew up in Renton, Washington and attended Rainier Beach High School. He was rated as a four-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Washington Huskies over offers from schools such as Oregon, UCLA, and USC. College career Washington As a freshman in 2020, Kalepo appeared in two games for the Huskies. In 2021, he played in 11 games. Kalepo made his first career start in the 2022 season opener against Kent State. In the 2022 season, he played in 12 games while making three starts. Kalepo opened the 2023 season as a starter for the Huskies. He started in both of the Huskies playoff games including the national championship where he allowed no pressures or sacks against Michigan. In American football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is an Lineman (gridiron football), offensive line player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles. Like other offensive line positions, guards are used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. The NCAA transfer portal is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) application, database, and compliance tool created to manage and facilitate the process for student athletes seeking to transfer between member institutions. It is intended to bring greater transparency to the transfer process and to enable student athletes to publicize their desire to transfer. The transfer portal is an NCAA-wide database covering all three NCAA divisions, although most media coverage of the transfer portal involves its use in the top-level DivisionI (D-I). The Joe Moore Award is awarded annually to the best college football offensive line unit. The award is presented by the Joe Moore Foundation for Teamwork, and they state that "The Joe Moore Award for the Most Outstanding Offensive Line Unit will annually recognize the toughest, most physical offensive line in the country", making it the only major college football award to honor a unit or group. Rainier Beach High School is a public secondary school (grades 9-12) in the Seattle Public Schools system. It is located in the Rainier Beach area, in the southeastern part of the city of Seattle, Washington, United States. The school historically has had a strong emphasis on team sports, and many championship teams. The building has a capacity of 1,200 students, but enrollment has declined greatly in recent years.
