Natarang
''Natarang'', also spelled Natrang (, an wikt:ornamental, ornamental word for "artist", especially a theatre artist), is a 2010 Indian Marathi language, Marathi-language Drama (film and television), drama film directed by debutant Ravi Jadhav and starring Atul Kulkarni and Sonalee Kulkarni. Composer duo Ajay–Atul composed the original score and songs of the film. Based on ''Natarang'', 1978 Marathi novel by Anand Yadav, the film depicts the journey of a young artist in overcoming hurdles in the form of family, friends, society and to finally realise the unthinkable dream. Set in the 1970s, in the backdrop of a village in Maharashtra, ''Natarang'' highlights the emotions related to gender bias and the sacrifices of an artiste for the love of his art. Ravindra Jadhav (born 22 September 1971) known professionally as Ravi Jadhav is an Indian film director, actor, screenwriter and producer. He made his directorial debut with the Marathi musical drama ''Natarang'' in 2010. Ravi studied in Sir J.J Institute of Applied art and won the 2009 National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. Anand Ratan Yadav (30 November 1935 – 27 November 2016) was a Marathi writer from Maharashtra, India. He is best known for his autobiography ''Zombi''. Literary work Yadav was one of the early writers of Marathi ''Gramin Sahitya'' (literature pertaining to rural life in Maharashtra). His novel "Zombi" (झोंबी) (meaning "fight against all odds") won a Sahitya Akademi Award in 1990.
