Naomi Too
Naomi Too is a Kenyan female volleyball player in the Kenya women's national volleyball team. Life Too played with the Kenya Pipeline team where she played with Gaudencia Makokha. In 2015 the two of them represented Kenya in Morocco at beach volleyball. They beat Mozambique and Nigeria to get to the final but they were beaten by Egypt and they gained the silver medal. It was the first medal for Kenya at the 2015 African Games in Rabat, Morocco. In 2017 she and her then volleyball partner, Gaudencia Makokha, won a beach volleyball match and gained $3,400 in prize money. Too was injured and she could not make the Olympic trials. Kenya's beach volleyball coach Sammy Mulinge invited Too to the Olympic training although he was concerned be her injury. Too was not included when the volleyball players names for the Olympics were revealed on 26 June 2021. Kenya Women's National Volleyball Team
The Kenya women's national volleyball team, the ''Malkia Strikers'', represents Kenya in international volleyball competitions. Kenya has dominated the African continent since the 1990s, winning the Women's African Volleyball Championship a record nine times. They have qualified three times for the Olympics; in 2000, 2004 and for the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Kenya also has a beach volleyball team, who were the only women's team at the Tokyo Olympics. Kenya's women's sitting volleyball team did not qualify for Tokyo. History Women were not invited to play volleyball at the All-Africa Games until 1978. Those games were in Algiers, Algeria and Kenya did not send a team. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. Gaudencia Makokha (born 15 November 1992) is a Kenyan female volleyball player. She was part of the Kenya women's national volleyball team playing beach volleyball at the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics. Life She was born in 1992 and her birthplace and residence is Nairobi. In 2017 she and her then volleyball partner, Naomi Too, reached the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in Vienna, earning $3,400 in prize money. Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two or more players on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. Each team also works in unison to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court. Teams are allowed up to three touches to return the ball across the net, and individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively except after a touch off an attempted block. Brackcides Khadambi
Brackcides Agala Khadambi (born 14 May 1984) is a Kenyan female volleyball player. She was captain of the Kenya women's national volleyball team and she competed in beach volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Life She was born in 1984. She has been given the nickname of "Blackie". In 2007 she became better known after Japanese coach Sadatoshi Sugawara discovered her. Sugawara had seen her training and he was surprised to find that she was not in the provisional national squad for the World Cup. Sigawara had her training with the national squad the next day and she joined the surprised team to play at the 2007 FIVB World Cup in Japan. After the competition she was invited to stay in Japan where she gained three months of training with the Hitachi team. During training not all the team bonded with her but Dorcas Ndasaba was very welcoming and she became her supporter as Khadambi built up her place within the team.
