Nails (band)
Nails (stylized in all caps as NAILS) is an American hardcore punk band from Oxnard, California. The group was formed in 2009 by frontman Todd Jones, formerly the guitarist of Terror (band), Terror and Carry On, along with bassist John Gianelli and later joined by drummer Taylor Young of Disgrace, Twitching Tongues, etc. They released their debut EP ''Obscene Humanity'' in 2009, followed by the studio albums ''Unsilent Death'' (2010), ''Abandon All Life'' (2013), ''You Will Never Be One of Us'' (2016), a split EP with Full of Hell (band), Full of Hell, ''I Don't Want to Know You'' (2019), an EP featuring Max Cavalera of Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, and ''Every Bridge Burning'' (2024). Oxnard () is a city in Ventura County in the U.S. state of California, United States. ''You Will Never Be One of Us'' is the third studio album by American hardcore punk band Nails, released on June 17, 2016. It is the band's first album issued through Nuclear Blast Records. It is their longest release to date at 21 minutes, and features their longest song, "They Come Crawling Back", which runs for eight minutes. The record was produced by Kurt Ballou of Converge. Warbringer is an American thrash metal band formed in 2004. Century Media Records signed Warbringer after seeing them at a local show in LA. Originally, a Century Media rep was at the show to see another LA thrash metal band but decided to sign Warbringer instead. Kurt Ballou (born February 1, 1974) is an American musician and record producer based in Massachusetts, best known as the guitarist for metalcore band Converge and for his recording and production work at his own GodCity Studio. Early and personal life Kurt Ballou started playing saxophone in elementary school. He performed in jazz band, concert band and orchestra, dabbling between baritone saxophone, bassoon and bass clarinet. Ballou was accepted to join the Hartford School of Music, but he opted to study aerospace engineering instead. His father used to have a guitar that Ballou played occasionally, but it did not interest him until a school friend gave him Slayer tapes around the age of sixteen. ''Every Bridge Burning'' is the fourth studio album by American hardcore punk band Nails. It was released on August 30, 2024 through Nuclear Blast. It was released 8 years after their last album ''You Will Never Be One of Us'', making it the longest gap between studio albums in their career. Kurt Ballou of Converge produced the album. It is the first Nails album to feature guitarist Shelby Lermo, drummer Carlos Cruz, and bassist Andrew Solis. Cavalera Conspiracy
Cavalera Conspiracy is a Brazilian-American heavy metal supergroup from Phoenix, Arizona, founded by Brazilian brothers Max (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Igor Cavalera (drums, percussion), who are widely known as former members of Sepultura, and the only two constant members of the band. The band originally formed in 2007 as Inflikted but changed its name for legal reasons. The group's creation marked the end of a 10-year feud between the Cavalera brothers who founded Sepultura in the early 1980s. In 2022, they adopted the name Cavalera in order to release re-recorded editions of classic Sepultura albums, which were released in 2023.
