NET (brand)
NET is a Taiwan-owned clothing company that makes mass-market casual clothing and other items, selling the bulk of its products in Taiwan. It was founded in 1991 and as of 2024, had 144 stores across Taiwan. History In the 1960s and 1970s, the Taiwan clothing industry was booming, with many garments manufactured in Taiwan. However, as the volume of garments increased, some garments did not meet the requirements of foreign buyers, or the garments had defects or had transportation delays. However, Taiwanese manufacturers had to face the pressure of inventory accumulation due to returns from foreign original manufacturers. The Housewives Shopping Mall mainly sold ready-made clothing for export. In order to solve the problem of insufficient supply, it began to invest in a business model focusing on self-developed products and designed clothing to sell locally. United Daily News
''United Daily News'' (UDN; ) is a newspaper published in Taiwan. It is considered to support the pan-Blue Coalition in its editorials. History UDN was founded in 1951 by Wang Tiwu as a merger of three newspapers, ''Popular Daily'' (全民日報), ''National'' (民族報), and the ''Economic Times'' (經濟時報). The three newspapers formally merged in 1953. The newspaper is owned by Wang Tiwu's daughter, Wang Shaw-lan. UDN is the flagship newspaper of the United Daily News Group which is chaired by Duncan Wang. The evening edition of the paper, the ''United Evening News'', was first published on February 22, 1968. Nanjing Road (; Shanghainese: ''Noecin Lu'') is a road in Shanghai, the eastern part of which is the main shopping district of Shanghai. Zhongxiao Road
Zhongxiao Road (, sometimes spelled Chunghsiao Road) is a major arterial road that is part of Provincial Highway 5 in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting the Zhongzheng District in the west with the Daan, Songshan, Xinyi, and Nangang districts in the east. Zhongxiao Road is known as a popular shopping and entertainment area, with many large department stores and shopping malls located along most of the entire stretch. About half of the Bannan line of the Taipei Metro runs under the road, with stations located at major intersections along the road, which accounts for the significant pedestrian traffic along the road.
