Myebon Township ( my, မြေပုံမြို့နယ်) is a Townships of Myanmar, township of Mrauk-U District in the Rakhine State of Burma, Burma (Myanmar). The principal town is Myebon. In October 2010, much of the township was devastated by Cyclone Giri. Some villages were destroyed by the storm and thousands of people were left homeless. Rakhine State
Rakhine State (; , , ; formerly known as Arakan State) is a state in Myanmar (Burma). Situated on the western coast, it is bordered by Chin State to the north, Magway Region, Bago Region and Ayeyarwady Region to the east, the Bay of Bengal to the west and the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh to the northwest.
