Chingiz Mustafayev (journalist)
Chingiz Mustafayev ( az, Çingiz Fuad oğlu Mustafayev; August 29, 1960 – June 15, 1992) was an independent Azerbaijani journalist, posthumously bestowed the state order National Hero of Azerbaijan. Mustafayev, with the medical degree and no formal background in journalism save for a year of on the job training, created a video record of the early stages of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, most of the documentary had to be shot from the frontline which ultimately was the cause of his abrupt death due to mortar wounds. Khydyr Mustafayev
Khydyr Hasan oglu Mustafayev (; 27 March 1905–21 May 1975) was an Azerbaijani Soviet Army Colonel and a Hero of the Soviet Union. Mustafayev was awarded the title on 10 January 1944 for his leadership of a battalion in the capture of Fastiv. Mustafayev retired from the army in 1954 and worked in senior positions in the party and government. Early life and military service Mustafayev was born on 27 March 1905 in Gezaldara to a peasant family of eight children. In his childhood, he worked with his father on a farm. Bakir Dursun oglu Mustafayev (Azerbaijani: Bəkir Dursun oğlu Mustafayev; 11 February 1898 – 10 December 1978) was an Azerbaijani soldier who served in the Red Army during World War II. Holding the rank of Red Army man he was decorated as a Hero of the Soviet Union. Mustafayev was awarded the title for his actions during the Kerch–Eltigen Operation. During the operation, Mustafayev reportedly killed 40 German soldiers. For his actions, Mustafayev was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 16 May 1944. He was discharged after the war and lived in Samarqand District. Aly Mustafayev Mustafa oglu ( az, Alı Mustafayev Mustafa oğlu) (April 14, 1952 – November 20, 1991) was an Azerbaijani journalist and reporter during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Early years Mustafayev was born on April 14, 1952, in Qazakhbeyli village of Qazakh raion of Azerbaijan SSR. In 1969, he completed his secondary education at Dash Salakhly village secondary school. Vagif Mustafayev (born August 28, 1953) is an Azerbaijani film director, producer and screenwriter. Since 2006 he has been the president of the Space TV and Radio Company.
