The Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art ( it, Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce, italic=no) is a permanent collection of Italian and international contemporary art hosted in a villa in the Carignano quarter of Genoa, northwestern Italy. The villa, donated to the city by the Croce family in 1951, is surrounded by public park with sea views, overhanging the Fiera di Genova exhibition center. It contains more than 3000 works of arts. History Villa Croce in its current appearance was remodeled in the neoclassical style in the 19th century for Giovanni Giacomo Croce, modifying a preexisting 17th-century villa which belonged to the Spinola family. It was donated in 1951 to the Municipality to be transformed into a museum. Ben Vautier, also known simply as Ben (born 18 July 1935 in Naples, Italy), is a French artist. Vautier lives and works in Nice, where he ran a record shop called ''Magazin'' between 1958 and 1973. Biography Benjamin Vautier was born on 18 July 1935 in Naples, Italy to a French family. He is the great-grandson of the Swiss painter (1829-1898). He discovered Yves Klein and the Nouveau Réalisme in the 1950s, but he became quickly interested in the French dada artist Marcel Duchamp and the music of John Cage. Paolo Monti
Paolo Monti (11 August 1908 – 29 November 1982) was an Italian photographer, known for his architectural photography. In his early period, Monti experimented with abstractionism as well as with effects such as blurring and diffraction. In 1953, he became a professional photographer. He mainly worked with architecture reproductions which were used by magazines and book editors for illustration. Starting from 1966, Monti catalogued historic centers of Italian cities. Adrian is a form of the Latin given name Adrianus or Hadrianus. Its ultimate origin is most likely via the former river Adria from the Venetic and Illyrian word ''adur'', meaning "sea" or "water".
