Moisture Festival
Moisture Festival is an annual, four week long, spring festival held in Seattle, Washington. Established in 2004, it is claimed to be the world's largest comedy/variety festival. Performances include musical acts like Jason Webley, comedy acts like Bill Robison, and a variety of circus and burlesque artists. History The first festival was organized in 2004, spanned only five days, and was held in a rented tent in Seattle's Fremont district. That same year, Mike Hale, the owner of Hale's Brewery, volunteered to convert his warehouse space into Hale's Palladium. The Palladium has served as the heart of the festival ever since. In 2008, Moisture Festival became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Jason Webley
Jason Webley is an American musician known for his sincere fusion of folk, experimental, and alternative music. Webley plays the guitar and accordion, sometimes providing percussion by stomping or shaking a plastic vodka bottle filled with coins. Webley began his career performing solo, but has collaborated with a wide range of artists. He has also organized several commemorative concerts and events memorializing everything from tragedies in his hometown of Everett, Washington to tomatoes. Early life Webley is originally from Everett, Washington. In high school, Webley played in a punk rock band called Moral Minority. He picked up the accordion in 1996 in his last year in college at the University of Washington when he was part of a performance of Bertolt Brecht's play ''The Caucasian Chalk Circle'', and wrote a couple of songs for the play on the accordion. Bill Robison
William Ray Robison (born December 5, 1957, in Denver, Colorado) is an American physical theatre artist. Career Bill Robison is currently working as a solo act. In his previous work, he was one of the two clowns that made up the performance duo, The Shneedles, (Robison and Wolfe Bowart Wolfe Bowart (born May 28, 1962) is a physical comedian, actor, director and playwright. He is the creator and performer of the physical theatre productions ''LaLaLuna'', ''Letter's End'' and ''The Man the Sea Saw''. Bowart is the son of writer ...) with whom he has traveled the world. Their show "Luggage" toured in several countries. They have also performed in numerous comedy festivals and German Variety theaters.
