Mohammad Mousavi (volleyball)
Seyed Mohammad Mousavi Eraghi ( fa, سید محمد موسوی عراقی, born 22 August 1987 in Dezful) is an Iranian volleyball player, who plays as a middle blocker for the Iran men's national volleyball team. Name His family is originally from Arak and because in the past the city's name was " Eragh-e Ajam" (meaning Persian Iraq, or non-Arab Iraq) his family name is followed by "Eraghi" (Iraqi). Career National team Mousavi was invited to national team in 2008. He was named Best Blocker at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament, where Iran ended up on sixth place and missed qualification for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. He was named twice the Best Blocker in Asian Championship. He made a brilliant performance in 2013 World League and was named Best Middle Blocker in 2015 World Cup. The United States men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The team is governed by USA Volleyball. The team has won five Olympic medals, including three gold. History As the birthplace of volleyball, the United States founded the first association to regulate the sport. The United States Volleyball Association was formed in 1927, and was the founding member of FIVB in 1947. However, by the time of volleyball's international growth in the 1940s, the US was no longer a major power. They competed in the inaugural volleyball Olympic tournament in 1964. 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup was the 7th staging of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup, a quadrennial international men's volleyball tournament organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The tournament was held in Nagoya and Osaka, Japan from 12 to 17 September 2017. 6 national teams from 5 confederations competed in the tournament. Brazil claimed their fourth straight Grand Champions Cup title and fifth overall. Italy and Iran won the silver and the bronze medal respectively. Asian Men's Volleyball Cup
The Asian Men's Volleyball Cup, also known as the AVC Cup for Men, is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the top senior men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The tournaments have been awarded every two years since 2008. The current champion is China, which won its second title at the 2022 tournament. The 7 Asian Volleyball Cup tournaments have been won by four different national teams. Iran have won three times. The other Asian Cup winners are  China, with two titles; and both South Korea and Qatar, with one title each. The 2022 Asian Cup was to take place in Taipei, Taiwan but because of its strict COVID-19 protocols, it was reallocated to Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. The 2019 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the twentieth staging of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF).
