Mikkel Morgenstar Pålssønn "Mix" Diskerud (born October 2, 1990) is a professional association football, soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Cypriot club AC Omonia, Omonia. Born in Norway, he represented the United States men's national soccer team, United States national team. His mother coined his nickname "Mix" when he was learning to walk, as he was energetic and ran around the house like a Mixer (cooking), mixmaster. United States Men's National Soccer Team
The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) represents the United States in men's international soccer competitions. The team is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation and is a member of FIFA and CONCACAF. 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the 12th CONCACAF Gold Cup competition and the 22nd CONCACAF regional championship overall in CONCACAF's fifty years of existence. The United States was the host nation. The competition began on 7 July 2013 at the Rose Bowl, and ended with the final on 28 July 2013 at Soldier Field, with the United States defeating Panama 1–0. In this edition of the Gold Cup, Mexico participated with an alternative squad due to the main players competing at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup prior to the Gold Cup. Despite not playing with their full squad, they successfully reached the semi-finals where they lost to eventual runners-up Panama with a score of 1–2. Superfinalen 2009
The 2009 Superfinalen was the first edition of Superfinalen, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Tippeligaen and Norwegian Cup competitions. It was played on 8 March 2009, at Telenor Arena in Bærum, between Stabæk and Vålerenga, winners of the 2008 Tippeligaen and 2008 Norwegian Football Cup respectively. A collaboration between the Football Association of Norway, Norsk Toppfotball, the incumbent league and cup champions, and the broadcaster TV 2, the match was seen as a test of the viability of a Super Cup in Norway. 2008 Norwegian Football Cup
The 2008 Norwegian Football Cup was the 103rd season of Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The competition started on 10 May 2008 with the first-round games and ended on 9 November 2008 with the final. The defending champions were Lillestrøm. The format of the Cup has not changed for this season what means that, unlike other European cup competitions, all teams (including Tippeligaen ones) entered the Cup in the First Round. In the First and Second Round amateur teams (or at least lower-placed at the time of the draw) were seeded and played the matches at home ground. Norwegian Second Division
The Norwegian Second Division, also called 2. divisjon and often referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons, is the third-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. There are 28 teams divided into two groups, and at the end of the season the winner of each group earns promotion to the second-highest division, 1. divisjon. The teams finishing in second place in their respective group will qualify for the promotion play-offs, where they will face each other. The winner will play against the 14th placed team in 1. divisjon for promotion. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to 3. divisjon. 2. divisjon is the highest league a reserve team can participate in, and only reserve teams from the Eliteserien clubs (first tier) are allowed to enter. Frigg Oslo Fotballklubb is a Norwegian sports club from Majorstua in Oslo. It has sections for association football and bandy. History It was founded on 17 May 1904 as ''SK Frigg'', named after Frigg of Norse mythology. It was merged on 21 April 1954 with ''SK Varg''. It took the name ''Frigg Oslo FK'' in 1990.
