Mitos Magsaysay
Maria Milagros "Mitos" Habana-Magsaysay (born January 4, 1964), is a Filipino politician who served as Congresswoman of the 1st district of Zambales from 2004 to 2013, and was a senatorial candidate of the United Nationalist Alliance in the 2013 election. Political career She was a representative from the 1st District of Zambales for 3 consecutive terms. Mitos Magsaysay claimed in February 2013 that the Liberal Party was using arm-twisting tactics on some politicians and local executives who are friendly to United Nationalist Alliance (UNA). On November 27, 2018, Magsaysay officially filed her certificate of candidacy for Congresswoman of the 1st district of Zambales and Olongapo City. 2013 Philippine Senate Election
The 2013 election of members to the Senate of the Philippines was the 31st election to the Senate of the Philippines. It was held on Monday, May 13, 2013 to elect 12 of the 24 seats in the Senate. Together with those elected in 2010, the candidates elected in this election shall comprise the 16th Congress. The senators elected in 2010 will serve until June 30, 2016, while the senators elected in this election will serve up to June 30, 2019. The legislative districts of Zambales are the representations of the province of Zambales and the highly urbanized city of Olongapo in the various national legislatures of the Philippines. The province and the city are currently represented in the lower house of the Congress of the Philippines through their first and second congressional districts. The province and chartered city were represented in the Interim Batasang Pambansa as part of Region III from 1978 to 1984. The 2019 Philippine House of Representatives elections were the 35th lower house elections in the Philippines. They were held on May 13, 2019, to elect members to the House of Representatives. Candidates were expected to be either for or against President Rodrigo Duterte.
