Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais
Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais is a French beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Women representing the region under various different titles have competed at Miss France since 1920, although the Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais title was not used regularly until 2010. The current Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais is Agathe Cauet, who was crowned Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais 2022 on 15 October 2022. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Hundreds and thousands of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious, widely covered and broadcast by media. Lambersart () is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. Miss France 2017
Miss France 2017 was the 87th edition of the Miss France pageant, held on December 17, 2016 at Park&Suites Arena in Montpellier. It was the first time that the pageant took place in Montpellier and in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The ceremony was held at TF1, and was presented by Jean-Pierre Foucault and the national director Sylvie Tellier. The winner was Miss French Guiana, Alicia Aylies, who gave to her region its first ever Miss France title. The winner succeeded Iris Mittenaere, Miss France 2016 from Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Miss Universe 2019 was the 68th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Stage 1 of the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on 8 December 2019. At the end of the event, Catriona Gray of the Philippines crowned Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa as Miss Universe 2019. It is South Africa's third win after 1978 and their recent victory in 2017. This edition also saw the crowning of the first black woman from the country to win and the first since Leila Lopes of Angola in 2011. Raphaël Varane
Raphaël Xavier Varane (; born 25 April 1993) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Manchester United and the France national team. Considered as one of the best defenders of his generation, Varane is known for his defensive prowess and speed. Miss France 2019 was the 89th edition of the Miss France pageant, held on 15 December 2018 at the Zénith de Lille in Lille. The competition was hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, Sylvie Tellier, and Miss France 2018 Maëva Coucke, while singer and actress Line Renaud served as president of the jury. Maëva Coucke of Nord-Pas-de-Calais crowned her successor Vaimalama Chaves of Tahiti at the end of the event.
