The incumbent titleholder is Apeksha Porwal from Mumbai who was 1st runner up in Miss India Worldwide 2015 held in Mumbai, India History India has been participating in Miss India Worldwide pageant since its inception in 1990. The Pageant Karminder Kaur Virk became first India, Indian as well as Asian people, Asian delegate to win Miss India Worldwide pageant in 1994. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Miss World 1991, the 41st edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 28 December 1991 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Miss Universe 1996, the 45th Miss Universe pageant, was held on May 17, 1996 at Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Miss India or Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representatives to compete in Miss World, one of the Big Four major international beauty pageants. It is organised by '' Femina'', a women's magazine published by The Times Group.
