Miss Goiás
Miss Goiás is a Brazilian Beauty pageant which selects the representative for the Goiás, State of Goiás at the Miss Brazil contest. The pageant was created in 1954 and has been held every year since with the exception of 1990 and 1993. The pageant is held annually with representation of several municipalities. Since 2021, the State director of Miss Goiás is, Raffael Rodrigues. Goiás still has yet to win a Miss Brazil national crown. Beauty Pageant
A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Hundreds and thousands of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious, widely covered and broadcast by media. Goiânia
Goiânia (; ) is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of Goiás. With a population of 1,536,097, it is the second-largest city in the Central-West Region and the 10th-largest in the country. Goianira
Goianira is a municipality in central Goiás state, Brazil, located 32 kilometers northwest of the state capital, Goiânia. The population was 45,296 (2020) with a total area of 200.4 km² (10/10/2002). Goianira is becoming a major producer of shoes. Goianira is four kilometers east of highway BR-457 / GO-415, which links Goiânia to Aruanã. It is in the Meia Ponte River valley. Miss Brazil 2011
The Miss Brazil 2011, the 57th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant, was held in São Paulo on July 23, 2011. The winner was Priscila Machado, who went on to represent Brazil in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant. The 1st runner-up went on to and the 2nd runner-up participated in Miss Continente Americano 2011. Twenty-seven delegates from each state and the Federal District competed for the crown. The current titleholder, Débora Lyra of Minas Gerais, crowned her successor at the end of the event. Porangatu
Parangatu is a town in Goiás state, Brazil. Geography Parangatu is in its own microregion, Porangatu Microregion, of 226,766 inhabitants in an area of 35.287 km2; 426 km from the state capital, Goiânia. This microregion serves as a nucleus for eighteen municipalities in the north of Goiás state. The municipal seat is just west of the important interstate highway BR-153, which connects Belém with Brasília and just south of the state line with the state of Tocantins. Miss Brazil 2006 ( pt, Miss Brasil 2006) was the 52nd edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 8 April 2006 at Claro Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil and was hosted by Nayla Micherif and Nivaldo Prieto. Carina Beduschi of Santa Catarina crowned her successor Rafaela Zanella of Rio Grande do Sul at the end of the event.
