Dragutin Mate
Dragutin Mate (born 2 May 1963) is a Slovenian diplomat and politician of Croat origins. He was a member of the Slovenian Democratic Party (2008-2016). Between 2004 and 2008 he served as Minister of Interior in the centre-right government led by Janez Janša and between 2011 and 2014, he was a deputy in the National Assembly. Biography Mate was born in Čakovec, Croatia, (then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) to Croatian parents. He spent his childhood in the city of Maribor in eastern Slovenia, where his parents moved for professional reasons. He graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana. In 1989 he started working as a high school teacher at the Poljane Grammar School in Ljubljana. The Freedom Movement ( sl, Gibanje Svoboda, GS) is a social liberal and green liberal political party. It was founded on 26 January 2022, as the successor of the Party of Green actions ( Z.DEJ). Vesna Györkös Žnidar (born 29 December 1977) is a Slovenian politician who was Minister of Interior in the Cabinet of Miro Cerar between 18 September 2014 and 13 September 2018. She is a member of the Modern Centre Party. Career Györkös Žnidar was born on 29 December 1977. She studied law at the University of Maribor and graduated in 2001. Gregor Virant (born 4 December 1969) is a Slovenian politician and public servant. Between 2004 and 2008, he served as Minister of Public Administration in Janez Janša's first government, between 2011–2013 he was Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia. He also served as Minister of the Interior and Public Administration in the government of Alenka Bratušek between 2013 and 2014.
