The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs ( si, ක්රීඩා හා යෞවන කටයුතු අමාත්යාංශය; ta, இளைஞர் மற்றும் விளையாட்டுத்துறை அமைச்சு) is a ministry in the Government of Sri Lanka whose role is to promote the role of sports in Sri Lankan culture and society. As of May 23, 2022, Roshan Ranasinghe is the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, an appointment in the Cabinet of Sri Lanka. Johnston Xavier Fernando (born 5 December 1964) is a Sri Lankan politician, former Cabinet Minister, Chief Government Whip and a current member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka from the Kurunegala District. He belongs to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. Jeewan Kumaranatunga (born 7 November 1958: si, ජීවන් කුමාරතුංග), is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television, who later became a politician, a former member of the parliament and a former cabinet minister.
