The Ministry of Education ( am, ትምህርት ሚኒሰቴር) is a government department of Ethiopia, focusing in the governance and policies of education. It is headquartered in Arada Sub-City, Addis Ababa. Samuel Urkato Kurke (; born 1 September 1974) is an Ethiopian politician and cabinet minister since October 2018. He was president of Wolaita Sodo University before becoming Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and has been Minister of Science and Higher Education (MoSHE) since August 2020 until the ministry merge into Ministry of Education on 6 October 2021.
