The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia ( hr, Ministarstvo vanjskih i europskih poslova or MVEP) is the ministry in the Government of Croatia which is responsible for the country's foreign relations, its diplomatic missions and relations to international organisations, especially the European Union. Nikola Šubić Zrinski Square
Nikola Šubić Zrinski Square ( hr, Trg Nikole Šubića Zrinskog, popularly referred to as Zrinjevac) is a square and park in Donji Grad, the central part of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. It is located near the central Ban Jelačić Square, halfway towards the Main Railway Station. It is a part of the '' Green horseshoe'' or ''Lenuci's horseshoe'' ( hr, Zelena potkova or ), which consists of seven squares in Donji grad. It is spread over an area of . The Social Democratic Party of Croatia ( hr, Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske, SDP) is a social-democratic political party in Croatia. The SDP is anti-fascist, progressive, and strongly pro-European. The SDP was formed in 1990 as the successor of the League of Communists of Croatia, Croatian branch of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, which had governed Croatia within the Yugoslav federation since World War II. The party first won the elections in 2000 and formed a coalition government headed by Ivica Račan. After losing the 2003 general election, the party remained in opposition for eight years. Tonino Picula (born 31 August 1961) is a Croatian politician currently serving his third term as a Member of the European Parliament for Croatia, having successfully run in 2013, 2014, and 2019 European elections. Zdenko Škrabalo
Zdenko Škrabalo (4 August 1929 – 12 January 2014) was a Croatian physician, academician and diplomat and former foreign minister of Croatia. After finishing high school in his home town of Sombor, Škrabalo enrolled at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, and graduated in 1953, where he also received a doctorate with a thesis on disorders of endocrine glands. He attended several seminars around Germany, and he founded the first German laboratory for the cytopathology of endocrine glands. He also attended seminars at medical schools in London, Leuven, Boston and Toronto. In 1976 he became full professor at the Zagreb University School of Medicine. He was also a guest lecturer at universities in Dacca, Boston, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Valletta. He spent his career at the ''Vuk Vrhovac University Clinic'', which he founded and developed into an internationally known center for diabetes, as well as a collaborative institution of the World Health Organization. Zvonimir Šeparović
Zvonimir Šeparović (14 September 1928 – 30 January 2022) was a Croatian jurist and politician. Biography Šeparović was a professor of Criminal Law at the University of Zagreb and rector of the University from 1989 to 1991. He was also known as the pioneer of victimology and a vocal opponent of death penalty. Although he lacked any formal party or political affiliation, in 1991 he became foreign minister in the "National Government" of Franjo Gregurić. In 1992 he became the Permanent Representative of Croatia to the United Nations.
