It won 19 games and lost 13 (including a 10–7 loss to the Chicago White Stockings of the NL), ending up in fourth place. Milwaukee, Wisconsin's history of over 160 years of immigration (of Germans, Irish, Yankees, Poles, Blacks and Hispanics), politics (including a strong Socialist movement), and industry (including machines, cheese, and beer), has given it a distinctive heritage.
