Mikhail Svetov
Mikhail Vladimirovich Svetov (born January 4, 1985) is a Russia, Russian politician and public figure, chairman of the civil society movement "Civil Society", political scientist, blogger, one of the main ideologists and popularizers of libertarianism in Russia, organizer major federal rallies on various political and public topics. Svetov hosts his own YouTube channel and an online newspaper both entitled "SVTV". Biography Svetov was born in Moscow to medical students. Svetov describes his family as being Classical liberalism, classical liberals when he was growing up. From the third grade on, he was homeschooling, homeschooled by his family, with the exception for one year spent at Appleby College in Canada at the age of 15. In 2004, when he was 19 years old, Svetov almost joined the National Bolshevik Party. From 2004 to 2006 Svetov studied at the Russian State University for the Humanities. Libertarian Party Of Russia
The Libertarian Party of Russia (russian: Либертарианская партия России; ЛПР, Libertarianskaya partiya Rossii; LPR) is a right-libertarian political party in the Russian Federation founded in 2008 based on " self-ownership and non-aggression". The party has had two members elected to local office, one in Moscow and the other in Moscow Oblast. The first, Vera Kichanova, was elected in 2012 to the municipal council of the Yuzhnoye Tushino District of Moscow. The second, Andrey Shalnev, was elected in 2014 as an independent deputy councilman for the Pushkinsky District. The party coordinates the Adam Smith Forum (an annual international libertarian conference in Moscow), participates in the organization of the Free People's Forum (which discusses Russian politics), and runs other activities and publications, including a monthly newspaper and a podcast series.
