Mike Riordan (basketball)
Michael W. Riordan (born July 9, 1945) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'4" guard/ forward from Holy Cross High School (Queens, New York) and Providence College, Riordan played 9 seasons (1968–1977) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the New York Knicks and Baltimore/Capital/Washington Bullets. He scored 6,334 points in his NBA career and won an NBA Championship with the Knicks in 1970. He was traded along with Dave Stallworth and an undisclosed amount of cash to the Baltimore Bullets for Earl Monroe on November 11, 1971. He was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1973. The New York ''Daily News'', officially titled the ''Daily News'', is an American newspaper based in Jersey City, NJ. The ''Evansville Courier & Press'' is a daily newspaper based in Evansville, Indiana. It serves about 30,000 daily and 50,000 Sunday readers. History The ''Evansville Courier'' was founded in 1845 by William Newton, a young attorney. Its first issue was printed two years before the city had a charter. Roslyn Air National Guard Station (ADC ID: P-3) is a closed United States Air Force station. It was located in East Hills, New York, on Long Island. It was originally part of Clarence MacKay's Harbor Hill estate. It was closed in 2000. The NBA All-Defensive Team is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) honor given since the 1968–69 NBA season to the best defensive players during the regular season. The All-Defensive Team is generally composed of ten players in two five-man lineups, a first and a second team. Voting is conducted by a panel of 123 writers and broadcasters. Prior to the 2013–14 NBA season, voting was performed by the NBA head coaches, who were restricted from voting for players on their own team. Vernon Earl Monroe (born November 21, 1944) is an American former professional basketball player. He played for two teams, the Baltimore Bullets and the New York Knicks, during his career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Both teams have retired Monroe's number. Due to his on-court success and flashy style of play, Monroe was given the nicknames "Black Jesus" and "Earl the Pearl".
