Mike Malone (basketball)
Michael Malone (born September 15, 1971) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach of the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also been the head coach of the Sacramento Kings. Malone previously served as an assistant coach of the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, New Orleans Hornets, and Golden State Warriors. Early life and education Born in the Astoria neighborhood of the New York City borough Queens, Malone is the son of Brendan Malone, a former NBA head coach. After graduating from Seton Hall Preparatory School, Malone attended prep school at Worcester Academy in the 1988–89 school year. He then graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 1994 with a degree in history and played on the Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball team from 1989 to 1993. Greg Kampe
Greg Charles Kampe (born December 9, 1955) is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at Oakland University. He guided the Golden Grizzlies to their first NCAA Division I tournament and tournament win in 2005. Through the 2016–17 season, he has compiled a record in 33 seasons at Oakland University. Kampe, a member of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, is one of nine Division I basketball coaches who have been at the same school for at least 25 seasons. Brendan Malone
Brendan Thomas Malone (born April 21, 1942) is an American basketball coach. Early life Malone grew up in Astoria, Queens in New York City and graduated from Rice High School. Malone's father, also named Brendan, unloaded freight cars for the Railway Express Agency. Malone then attended Iona College. He played only one game in 1960 for the Iona Gaels men's basketball team and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1962.
