Michael Maron
Michael Maron is an American makeup artist, author, beauty industry entrepreneur, photographer, and media personality known for pioneering before-and-after celebrity makeovers on live television, print and video. Early life Maron was born in New York and grew up in southern California. He became a professional portrait artist at the age of twelve, dabbled in acting and modeling, appeared in television commercials, and hosted his own radio show on KCRW National Public Radio. After earning a master's degree in filmmaking and television production at UCLA, he joined the UCLA Theater Arts teaching staff and did production work on numerous primetime television shows. A self-taught photographer, Maron specialized in fashion and beauty photography as well as makeup design. KCRW (89.9 MHz FM) is a National Public Radio member station broadcasting from the campus of Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California, where the station is licensed. KCRW airs original news and music programming in addition to programming from NPR and other affiliates. A network of repeaters and broadcast translators, as well as internet radio, allows the station to serve the Greater Los Angeles area and other communities in Southern California. Mount Sinai Hospital, founded in 1852, is one of the oldest and largest teaching hospitals in the United States. ''Home'', also referred to as ''The Home Show'', is a daytime informational talk show which aired on ABC from 1988 to 1994. The program was co-hosted by Robb Weller and Sandy Hill during the first season. Gary Collins hosted the show for the remainder of its run. Co-hosts included Cristina Ferrare, Dana Fleming, Beth Ruyak and Sarah Purcell. Decorating and craft segments were frequently presented by Hanala Sagal aka Suzan Stadner, Fitness Expert and Sally Marshall, Dian Thomas, Carol Duvall and Kitty Bartholomew. Marc Summers and Wil Shriner presented segments on the latest in technology ( computers, home gaming, etc.).
