Michael L. Vaughn
Michael L. Vaughn (born November 12, 1957) is an American politician who represented District 24 as a Democrat in the Maryland House of Delegates beginning in 2003 until his resignation in 2017. Background Vaughn was born in Tuskegee, Alabama and grew up in Prince George's County, Maryland, where he attended DuVal High School. He graduated from Southern University, where he played football. He went on to work as an investment advisor with Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter and Fidelity Investment. Conviction On January 11, 2017, just minutes before the start of the 2017 legislative session, Vaughn resigned his seat in the Maryland House of Delegates. Vaughn was convicted of a long running bribery and conspiracy scheme for accepting cash bribes. He resigned his seat and was sentenced to four years in prison with three years of probation. Tuskegee, Alabama
Tuskegee () is a city in Macon County, Alabama, United States. It was founded and laid out in 1833 by General Thomas Simpson Woodward, a Creek War veteran under Andrew Jackson, and made the county seat that year. It was incorporated in 1843.
