Michael Johns (singer)
Michael Johns (born Michael John Lee; 20 October 1978 â 1 August 2014) was an Australian singer who finished in eighth place on the seventh season of ''American Idol'', in 2008. In 2009, he released a music album, '' Hold Back My Heart,'' which sold 20,000 copies. Johns died on August 1, 2014, at the age of 35 of dilated cardiomyopathy. Early life John Lee was born in Perth, Western Australia on 20 October 1978. As a teenager, he appeared as The Coachman in ''Pinocchio'' at the Regal Theatre and was a choir singer in ''Anything Goes'' at His Majesty's Theatre. He attended Newman College in Perth. In 1997, John Lee moved to the United States on a tennis scholarship and majored in drama at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia, before dropping out after two quarters. The United States Australian Football League (USAFL) is the governing body for Australian rules football in the United States. It was conceived in 1996 and organized in 1997. It is based in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. As of 2011, there were over 1,000 registered USAFL players. There are 50 member clubs, of which 48 have men's teams (all except North Star Blue Ox and the Centennial Tigers) and 27 have women's teams. Most of the football clubs in the United States have a traditional 18-a-side team for representative purposes and multiple 9-a-side teams running in a local league. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Tifton is a city in Tift County, Georgia, United States. The population was 17,045 at the 2020 census. The city is the county seat of Tift County. Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) is a public college in Tifton, Georgia. It is part of the University System of Georgia and offers baccalaureate and associate degrees. The college is named after Abraham Baldwin, a signer of the United States Constitution from Georgia and the first president of the University of Georgia. ABAC was established in 1908 as the Second District A&M School. The name was changed to the South Georgia A&M College in 1924, and to the Georgia State College for Men in 1929. His Majesty's Theatre, Perth
His Majesty's Theatre is an Edwardian Baroque theatre in Perth, Western Australia. Constructed from 1902 to 1904 during a period of great growth for the town, the theatre is located on the corner of Hay Street and King Street in Perth's central business district. At the time the theatre was opened, it was the largest theatre in Australia, and had seating for over 2,500 people. It is also thought to be the first reinforced concrete building constructed in Perth. The Regal Theatre is a theatre located in the suburb of Subiaco in Perth, Western Australia. It was built in 1937, and the official opening was on 27 April 1938. The theatre was named for King George VI who, at the time it was being constructed, had taken up the throne.
