Motu Move is a contactless payment, contactless automated fare collection, fare payment system in development as the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) for New Zealand beginning in 2007. Contracted to the American company Cubic Corporation, Cubic Transportation Systems, it is currently being piloted on Route 29 in Christchurch with adult non-concession fares, which began on 8 December 2024 before starting initial rollout in Timaru and Temuka in mid 2025 with the full range of payment options and concessions. By 2026, Motu Move will be available nationwide excluding the Marlborough District, Marlborough region.
