Megan Walsh
Megan Ruby Walsh (born 19 February 1997) is an Irish singer who joined the singing group Celtic Woman in 2018. Biography Early life and education Megan Ruby Walsh was born on 19 February 1997. Her middle name "Ruby" comes from her maternal grandparents. She lived her very early years in Trim, County Meath, in Ireland. Her family were involved in musical theatre; she started appearing in local shows in Trim from age 4. When she was six, her family moved to Navan, but she remained at schools in Trim until age 14, initially at St Mary's Primary School and subsequently Scoil Mhuire. She completed her final years of high school at Loreto Secondary School, Navan, Loreto Secondary School, St. Michael's in Navan. She studied with the Royal Irish Academy of Music conservatory from age 10 to age 17, and received multiple certifications. Cross Border Orchestra Of Ireland
The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) is one of Ireland, Ireland's primary youth orchestras. Based at the Dundalk Institute of Technology in County Louth, the CBOI maintains a membership of 160 young musicians between the ages of 12 and 24 years from Republic of Ireland – United Kingdom border, both sides of the border. History The CBOI was established in 1995 shortly after the implementation of the Peace Process and is recognised internationally as one of Ireland's flagship peace initiatives. Events The CBOI tours regularly to Europe and America and has sold out such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, in New York and Chicago's Symphony Hall. In April 2008 the Orchestra performed at the 400th Anniversary of the Flight of the Earls in Rome. In October 2009, the orchestra traveled to New York and Washington to play at the Lincoln Center and at Fairfields Cross Cultural Youth Festival.
