''Me Amaras'' (English: ''You'll love me'') is the second studio album by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin, released by Sony Music Latin, Sony Discos on May 25, 1993. Writing and production The album was produced by Jose L. Quintana. Juan Carlos Calderón wrote all the songs for this album, except for a Spanish version of Laura Branigan's song "Self Control (Raf song)#Laura Branigan version, Self Control" titled "Que Día es Hoy", and a Spanish version of "Hooray! Hooray! It's a Holi-Holiday". Commercial performance In the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' issue dated May 29, 1993, ''Me Amaras'' entered the Latin Pop Albums at number twenty-four. It peaked at number twenty-two four weeks later. According to different sources the album sold 700,000 copies or even 1,000,000 copies worldwide. Frank Farian
Frank Farian (born Franz Reuther; 18 July 1941) is a German record producer, musician, singer and songwriter, who founded the 1970s disco-pop group Boney M., the Latin pop band No Mercy and the pop band Milli Vanilli. He frequently created vocal groups in which the publicised members merely lip-sync to songs sung by session members. He owns the record label MCI and several subsidiaries. Over the course of his career, Farian has sold over 850 million records and earned 800 gold and platinum certifications. Career Farian started as a trained cook before moving into the music industry. Raffaele Riefoli (born September 29, 1959 in Margherita di Savoia, Italy) is an Italian singer-songwriter who is better known as simply Raf. Biography Riefoli lived the few first years of the 1980s in London, England, before starting out his musical career in 1984, landing mostly in the new wave scene with his English language debut album, ''Raf''. Giancarlo Bigazzi (5 September 1940 – 19 January 2012) was an Italian music producer and composer. He was a former member of comedy music group Squallor. Life and career Born in Florence, he was one of the best known Italian songwriters and lyricists of the 1970s and 1980s. The ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs (formerly Hot Latin Tracks and Hot Latin 50) is a record chart in the United States for Latin songs, published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine.
