McNally High School
McNally High School is a high school located in the Forest Heights neighborhood in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is operated by the Edmonton Public Schools system. The school is named after former Alberta Deputy Minister of Education and University of Alberta chancellor George Fred McNally. Programs of study International Baccalaureate McNally offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in addition to the Alberta education curriculum. Having a diploma graduating class normally greater than forty students a year, McNally has one of the largest international baccalaureate classes in Alberta. However, this is often attributed to the medium population base of the school, with about 300 students enrolled in the diploma program and 200 students enrolled in the certificate program each year. Jay Bouwmeester
Jay Daniel Bouwmeester (born September 27, 1983) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played seventeen seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues. He was a first round selection, third overall, of the Panthers at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 2003 and played seven seasons in the Panthers organization before being traded to the Calgary Flames in 2009, with which he played four seasons. Bouwmeester was then traded to the Blues in 2013. He held one of the longest iron man streaks in NHL history as he appeared in 737 consecutive regular season games between 2004 and 2014. Famine events are localized events of voluntary fasting for 30 or 40 hours depending on the region to raise money and awareness for world hunger. These events are usually coordinated by one of various World Vision organizations and are done by youth in church organizations. They have spread internationally, notably the international 30 Hour Famine, also the regional 40 Hour Famine in Australia and New Zealand and the 24 Hour Famine in the United Kingdom. David Bissett (bobsleigh)
David Bissett (born September 26, 1979) is a Canadian bobsledder who has competed since 2005. Competing in three Winter Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the four-man event at Vancouver in the 2010 Winter Olympics. He won a silver medal in the four-man event at the 2007 FIBT World Championships in St. Moritz. Dallas Stars
The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Central Division in the Western Conference, and were founded during the 1967 NHL expansion as the Minnesota North Stars, based in Bloomington, Minnesota. Before the 1978–79 NHL season, the team merged with the Cleveland Barons after the league granted them permission due to each team's respective financial struggles.
