Maxim Rodshtein
Maxim Rodshtein ( he, מקסים רודשטיין, russian: Максим Эдуардович Родштейн, translit=Maksim Eduardovich Rodshtein; born 19 January 1989) is an Israeli chess grandmaster. He competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2017. Career Rodshtein was twice silver medallist in the European Youth Chess Championships: in the Under 10 section in 1999 and the Under 14 in 2002. He won the Under 16 division of the World Youth Chess Championships in Heraklio, Greece in 2004. In 2006 he won the Israeli Chess Championship. He won the 25th Andorra International Open (30 June – 8 July 2007) in a three-way tie for first in a field of 101 players. In 2008, Rodshtein was a member of the Israeli team in the 38th Chess Olympiad in Dresden; he scored 7 points from 9 games, contributing to the team silver medal. Gata Kamsky
Gata Kamsky ( tt-Cyrl, Гата Камский, italics=no; russian: Гата Камский; born June 2, 1974) is a Soviet-born American chess grandmaster, and a five-time U.S. champion. Kamsky reached the final of the FIDE World Chess Championship 1996 at the age of 22, and reached a ranking of fourth in the world rankings in 1995. He played almost no FIDE-rated games between 1997 and late 2004. Kamsky won the Chess World Cup 2007. This earned him a Candidates Match against Veselin Topalov, which he lost. Kamsky also competed in the Candidates Tournament in 2011, losing to Boris Gelfand. Early career Kamsky was born in Novokuznetsk in Russia, in a Tatar family. Gata's last name, Kamsky, is derived from the stage nickname of his grandfather Gataullah "Kamsky" Sabirov, the founder of the Tatar Drama Theater in Kazan. Sergey Fedorchuk ( ua, Сергій Федорчук, translit=Serhiy Fedorchuk; born 14 March 1981) is a Ukrainian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2002. Career In 1995 Fedorchuk won the European Youth Chess Championship in the Under 14 category. In 2006 he won a rapid tournament held in Banyoles and shared first place with Gabriel Sargissian and Tigran L. Petrosian in the 8th Dubai Open. Vlad-Cristian Jianu (born September 27, 1984 in Bucharest) is a Romanian chess grandmaster (2007). Jianu won the Romanian champion in 2006, and national champion in problem solving (Predeal 2006, Bucharest 2012). He won the Romanian National Championship in Blitz and Rapid in 2012. He played for Romania at two chess olympiads: 2014 and 2016. Parimarjan Negi
Parimarjan Negi (born 9 February 1993) is an Indian chess grandmaster. He achieved the grandmaster title at the age of 13 years, 4 months, and 20 days, which made him the second youngest grandmaster in history at the time. As of July 2021, he is the seventh youngest player to achieve this feat. Negi is an Indian and Asian champion. He played on the top board for the bronze medal-winning Indian team in the 2014 Chess Olympiad in Tromsø, Norway. He was granted the Arjuna Award in 2010 by the Government of India. Sanan Sjugirov (russian: Санан Сюгиров; born 31 January 1993) is a Russian chess grandmaster. He was European champion and world champion in his age category. Sjugirov competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2009 and 2015. Chess career Sjugirov won the World Youth Chess Championships in 2003, in the U-10 section, and 2007, in the U-14. In the European Youth Chess Championships, he won in the U-12 division in 2004 and 2005, and in the U-14 in 2007. Fabiano Caruana
Fabiano Luigi Caruana (born July 30, 1992) is an American chess grandmaster. A chess prodigy, Caruana became a grandmaster at the age of 14 years, 11 months, and 20 days—the youngest grandmaster in the history of both Italy and the United States at the time. Born in Miami to Italian parents, Caruana grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn. He played for the United States until 2005, when he transferred his national federation affiliation to Italy. He earned his grandmaster title in 2007, and in the same year won his first Italian Chess Championship, a feat he repeated in 2008, 2010, and 2011. Aeroflot Open
The Aeroflot Open is an annual open chess tournament played in Moscow and sponsored by the airline Aeroflot. It was established in 2002 and quickly grew to be the strongest open tournament; in 2013 it was converted to a rapid Rapids are sections of a river where the river bed has a relatively steep gradient, causing an increase in water velocity and turbulence.
