Matt Doherty (actor)
Matthew Doherty (born June 22, 1978, in Harvey, Illinois) is an American actor. He is known for his role of Lester Averman in The Mighty Ducks trilogy. Early life and education Doherty is a graduate of Thornwood High School, a southern suburban high school in the Chicago area. While at Thornwood, he played trumpet in the school's band. As part of Matthew's tutoring while on the set of ''The Mighty Ducks'', he took trumpet lessons from Los Angeles studio musicians. He graduated with a theatre degree from Northwestern University in 1999, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. Career He is best known for playing the roles of Lester Averman in '' The Mighty Ducks'' trilogy (although in ''D1'' he is referred to as Dave Averman) and William "Heed" MacKenzie in '' So I Married An Axe Murderer''. Harvey is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 20,324 at the 2020 census. Harvey is bordered by the villages of Dixmoor and Riverdale to the north; Dolton, Phoenix, and South Holland to the east; East Hazel Crest to the south; and Hazel Crest, Markham and Posen to the west. History Harvey was founded in 1891 by Turlington W. Harvey, a close associate of Dwight Moody, the founder of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Lee Majors (born Harvey Lee Yeary; April 23, 1939) is an American actor. Majors portrayed the characters of Heath Barkley in the American television Western series ''The Big Valley'' (1965–1969), Colonel Steve Austin in the American television science fiction action series ''The Six Million Dollar Man'' (1973–1978), and Colt Seavers in American television action series '' The Fall Guy'' (1981–1986). ''Hollows Grove'' is a 2014 independent horror film and the feature film directorial debut of Craig Efros. It was released as a digital download on 21 October 2014 and stars Matthew Carey as a filmmaker that decides to create a documentary centering upon a ghost hunting team, only to find that this could be the last thing he ever does. Synopsis The film is framed with footage of an FBI agent (Mykelti Williamson), who introduces the footage as material shot during an episode for the paranormal investigation show ''S.P.I.T.''
