Math Ly
Math Ly (1925–2004) was a Cambodian politician. A former Khmer Rouge cadre, Math Ly later joined the Cambodian People's Party and was elected to represent Kampong Cham in the National Assembly of Cambodia in 2003. Math Ly was born in Kampong Cham province to a Muslim Cham family. His father, Sos Man briefly served as the Minister of Religious Affairs under the Khmer Issarak movement in 1954 before defecting to North Vietnam between 1954 and 1970, bringing Math Ly along. The family returned to Cambodia in 1970 where Sos Man served as the President of the Communist-backed "Eastern Zone Islamic Movement" from 1971 to 1974 before it was disbanded. National Highway 7 (Cambodia)
National Highway 7 or National Road No.7 (10007) () is one of the national highways of Cambodia. With a length of 509.17 km it connects Skuon with Trapeang Kreal, international border checkpoint with Laos. It is part of Asian Highway Network and of the connection by road between Phnom Penh and Vientiane, joining Route 13 in Laos leading north along the Mekong to Luang Prabang. Khmer Issarak
The Khmer Issarak ( km, ខ្មែរឥស្សរៈ, or 'Independent Khmer') was a "loosely structured" anti- French and anti-colonial independence movement. The movement has been labelled as “amorphous”. The Issarak was formed around 1945 and composed of several factions, each with its own leader. Most of the Issarak factions fought actively between the end of the Second World War in 1945 and Cambodia’s independence in 1953. The initial objectives of the Khmer Issarak was to fight against the French in order to gain independence, before later focusing on overthrowing the Cambodian government. Cham People
The Cham (Cham: ''Čaṃ'') or Champa people (Cham: , ''Urang Campa''; vi, Người Chăm or ; km, ជនជាតិចាម, ) are an Austronesian ethnic group. From the 2nd century to 1832 the Cham populated Champa, a contiguous territory of independent principalities in central and southern Vietnam.
