Kim Ki-bum ( ko, 김기범 ; born December 29, 1990), now better known by his stage name in Japan Allen Kim, is a South Korean idol singer, actor, dancer and television host, best known for being a former member of South Korean boy band U-KISS. He is also the younger brother of SS501 member Kim Hyung-jun. Career 2006-2007: Career Beginnings Kibum made his music debut in 2006 with the K-pop group XING, alongside Cheon Hye Sung, Yume and Kevin Woo. However, he left to better his future a year after debuting with XING. 2008: Debut with U-KISS In 2008, Kibum together with 5 other members of U-KISS made their official debut with their first mini-album ''N-Generation''. The title track from the album was ''Not Young'' an upbeat track that displayed the youth of all the members, and that they themselves are no longer boys. SS501
SS501 is a South Korean boy band consisting of five members: Kim Hyun-joong, Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong, Park Jung-min and Kim Hyung-jun. They debuted in 2005 with the EP ''Warning'', which included their first number one song, "Never Again". In 2007, SS501 entered the Japanese market with the maxi single ''Kokoro'', which debuted at number five on the Oricon chart. The following year, in 2008, they became the first South Korean artists to win the award for Best New Artist at the Japan Gold Disc Awards. SS501 has released one studio album and seven EPs in Korean, and two studio albums and three EPs in Japanese. The group has been inactive since 2010, however the sub-group Double S 301, composed of members Heo Young-saeng, Kim Kyu-jong and Kim Hyung-jun, continues to release music. ''Break Time'' is the fourth Korean extended play by South Korean band U-KISS, released on October 4, 2010. The lead single was "Shut Up!!". It is the last EP by U-KISS to feature members Alexander Lee Eusebio and Kim Ki-bum. Release and reception The physical CD was released in South Korea October 4, 2010. Digital downloads were available worldwide that same day. It proceeded to be released in the Philippines March 24, 2011. The original single for the EP was originally supposed to be "Light It Up", composed by Kim Tae-wan, but upon hearing Kim Tae-hyun's "Shut Up!!" (시끄러!!; ''Siggeureo!!''), the group shifted to use the latter instead. U-KISS ( ko, 유키스; ja, ユーキス) is a South Korean boy band formed in 2008. Their name is an acronym, standing for Ubiquitous Korean International Idol Super Star. The group's current lineup is composed of Soohyun, Hoon, Kiseop and Jun. Their breakthrough hit was "Man Man Ha Ni" (2009) from their EP ''ContiUKiss''. They released their first full-length album, '' Only One'', on February 3, 2010. In September 2011, U-KISS released their second full-length album, ''Neverland''. They made their formal debut in Japan in 2011 with the release of the single "Tick Tack".
