Marlene Madrigal Flores
Marlene Madrigal Flores is a Costa Rican agricultural worker activist and a current deputy from Heredia in the Legislative Assembly. Madrigal has a technical education. Agricultural activist Madrigal has worked in several capacities as an agricultural activist. She has been a Resister for Sarapiquí, Vice-President of the National Agricultural Commission, President of the National Federation of Banana Workers, and a promoter for the Citizens' Action Party (PAC for its Spanish initials) in Sarapiquí. She has also worked for a number of agricultural companies and international agricultural unions. In 2013 alone, she visited the Legislative Assembly a total of 16 times. Political career When Madrigal began running for deputy in 2013, she was 42 years old. She was elected as a PAC candidate alongside economist Henry Mora Jiménez. Legislative Assembly Of Costa Rica
The Legislative Assembly ( es, Asamblea Legislativa) forms the unicameral legislative branch of the Costa Rican government. The national congress building is located in the capital city, San José, specifically in Carmen district of the San José canton. Heredia () is a province of Costa Rica. It is in the north-central part of the country. Sarapiquí (canton)
Sarapiquí is the tenth canton in the province of Heredia in Costa Rica. History The canton was established by law on November 18, 1970. The Sarapiquí River played a very important role in the defense of national sovereignty, because on 10 April 1856, the filibusters under the command of the American William Walker arrived in Costa Rica through the Sarapiquí River, where the battle of Sardinal was fought. Henry Mora Jiménez (born 19 April 1959) is a Costa Rican economist and political activist. Mora is a member of the 2014-2018 Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica, serving with the Citizens' Action Party. He was the President of the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica from 2014 to 2015. Education and early career Mora earned a licentiate in economics at the University of Costa Rica with an emphases on statistics. From the National University of Costa Rica, Mora earned a Master's in political economics.
