Mark Ellis (hurler)
Mark Ellis (born 26 August 1990) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-back for Duhallow Championship club Millstreet. He is a former member of the Cork senior hurling team. Playing career Millstreet Community School While attending Millstreet Community School Ellis was selected for the Cork vocational schools hurling team. On 16 February 2008, he was named as a substitute for the All-Ireland final against Galway but was introduced during the game which Cork won by 2-14 to 3-10 victory. On 14 February 2009, Ellis was again included as a substitute on the Cork team that qualified for the All-Ireland final against Offaly. He remained on the bench for the entire game which Cork won by 4-12 to 2-11. Millstreet Ellis joined the Millstreet club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels in an area that was more noted as a Gaelic football stronghold. Ballinhassig GAA
Ballinhassig is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Ballinhassig in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club was founded in 1886, and now plays Hurling at Premier Intermediate level, having won the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship in 2005, and the Cork Junior Hurling Championship in 2002. Stemming from these County Championship wins, Ballinhassig competed in Munster and All-Ireland Club Championships, and have won the following Club Championship Finals: Junior Munster Club Final, Junior All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship Final, Intermediate Munster Club Final; but lost out to Dicksboro, of Kilkenny town, in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship Final, played in Croke Park. The GAA Hurling Intermediate All-Ireland Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Effectively contested by the second string teams of the top inter-county hurling sides in Ireland, the tournament has taken place every year since 1997—having originally been run between 1961 and 1973. Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Munster Hurling Intermediate Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1961 for the strong hurling teams in the province of Munster in Ireland. In some cases the teams consist of players who are not on the senior squads for their county (thus in effect, they are a second team), or in others of players who are from junior or intermediate clubs. Stephen White (hurler)
Stephen White (born 14 October 1988) is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Cork senior team. Born in Ballygarvan, County Cork, White first played competitive hurling in his younger days. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 and intermediate sides. He made his senior debut in the 2008 National Hurling League. White has since gone on to be a regular member of the team, however, he has yet to claim any silverware. At club level White is a Munster medallist in the junior grade with Ballygarvan. He has also won a junior championship medal with the club. Playing career Club White plays his club hurling and Gaelic football with Ballygarvan and has enjoyed much success. The 2011 Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-21 Championship is the 48th staging of the All-Ireland Championship since its inception in 1964. Games were played between 1 June and 10 September 2011. Galway won the title after a 3–14 to 1–10 win against Dublin.
