Manish Makhija
Manish Makhija (sometimes spelled Munish Makhija, born 7 October 1968), is an Indian video jockey, and Mumbai-based restaurateur, who is most known for his characters Udham Singh on Channel V's ''The Udham Singh Show'' (1997), and Munna on UTV Bindass's ''Cash Cab – Meter Chalu Hai''. Early life and education Makhija was born and brought up in Delhi where his father and mother worked for the Indian Postal Department. He received his B.A. political science degree from Delhi's Kirori Mal College. He subsequently studied for an L.L.B. at Delhi University, but dropped out. Career He first made his mark and gained popularity with Channel V show, 'The Udham Singh Show', where he anchored the show as Udham Singh in Hariyanvi style. Haryanvi ( ' or '), also known as Bangru, is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the state of Haryana in India, and to a lesser extent in Delhi. Haryanvi is considered to be part of the dialect group of Western Hindi, which also includes Khariboli and Braj. It is written in the Devanagari script. Mirchi Music Award For Upcoming Lyricist Of The Year
The Mirchi Music Award for Upcoming Lyricist of The Year is given yearly by Radio Mirchi as a part of its annual Mirchi Music Awards for Hindi films, to recognise an upcoming lyricist for contributing in a film song. ''Screen'' was an Indian weekly film magazine published by Indian Express Limited. Established in 1951, it was owned by The Indian Express Group. The magazine was acquired by Star India in 2015 and subsequently ceased publication. The magazine's content focused on India's Hindi film industry, a.k.a. Bollywood, located mainly in Mumbai. The Screen Awards is an annual awards ceremony held in India honouring professional excellence in Bollywood. The nomination and award selection is done by a panel of distinguished professionals from the industry. The awards were introduced by the Screen film magazine of The Indian Express Group in 1995.
