Mandeni Local Municipality
Mandeni Local Municipality (formerly eNdondakusuka Local Municipality) is an administrative area in the iLembe District of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. Manufacturing, elementary work and plant and machine work are the highest non-farming categories of labour. Mandeni includes substantial areas of commercial agriculture, with the bulk of these areas under sugar-cane. Agriculture is the main employment sector in the area. South African Standard Time
South African Standard Time (SAST) is the time zone used by all of South Africa as well as Eswatini and Lesotho. The zone is two hours ahead of UTC ( UTC+02:00) and is the same as Central Africa Time. Daylight saving time is not observed in either time zone. Umlalazi Nature Reserve
The Umlalazi Nature Reserve is a coastal reserve situated from Mtunzini on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast. Umlalazi was established as a protected area in 1948 and is in extent. Home of the palm-nut vulture, which is one of the rarest birds of prey in South Africa. Lagoons can have crocodiles. There are three trails in the reserve. One of which passes examples of mangrove swamps in South Africa, where several species of mangrove can be found. Another walk leads through the dune forest where bushpig, bushbuck and red, grey and blue duiker may occasionally be seen. The Tugela River ( zu, Thukela; af, Tugelarivier) is the largest river in KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. With a total length of , it is one of the most important rivers of the country. Mandini
Mandeni (also Mandini) is a town in Ilembe District Municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. The town is roughly 22 km north-east of Stanger. The town has four shopping centres, namely; Mandeni shopping centre, where most residents go, Sundumbili plaza, Gcaleka Shopping centre (also known as KwaGcaleka) and seven townships. The town has many factories and attracts workers from afar. The biggest employer is Sappi, the largest paper manufacturer in South Africa. The Tugela River flows through Mandeni and the mouth of the river is 10 km from the town center. Mandeni is located 22 km from Stanger and 96 km from Durban. Macambini
eMacambini is a rural area in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa which is mostly populated by members of the Macambini clan. It is near Mandeni on the Zululand coast, just north of Durban and close to the new King Shaka International Airport. Threatened eviction In November 2008, the community of eMacambini held a 5,000 strong march of about 10 km to protest the proposed AmaZulu World development to be built by Ruwaad Holdings from Dubai. Earlier in the year, Ruwaad signed a memorandum of understanding with KZN Premier S’bu Ndebele. The planned R44m development by Ruwaad will occupy 16,500ha. In addition to the AmaZulu World Theme Park, plans include the largest shopping centre in Africa, a game reserve, six golf courses, residential facilities, sports fields and a statue of Shaka at the Thukela river mouth.
