Mail Forwarding
Post offices and other mail service providers typically offer a mail forwarding service, commonly known as hybrid mail or virtual post office box services, to redirect mail addressed to one location to another address – usually for a given period. In the case of the United States Postal Service's First Class Mail, it is generally for a period of one year. British Royal Mail provides a service called ''Mail Redirection'', enabling redirection for up to two years. Customers of such a service usually, but not exclusively, use mail forwarding when they change an address. Usually, it involves digital data being transformed into physical letter items at distributed print centres located as close as possible to the final delivery addresses. An e-mail letter (also L-mail and letter mail) is a letter which sent as an email using a computer then printed out and delivered as a traditional (physical) letter. It is a communication means between the cyber and the material world. Myus ( grc, Μυοῦς), sometimes Myous or Myos, was an ancient Greek city in Caria. It was one of twelve major settlements of the Ionian League. Email forwarding generically refers to the operation of re-sending an email message delivered to one email address to one or more different email addresses. The term ''forwarding'', used for mail since long before electronic communications, has no specific technical meaning,In section 3.9.2 ''List'' of RFC 5321, the term ''forwarding'' is used ambiguously. It notes that "''the key difference between handling aliases (Section 3.9.1) and forwarding (this subsection) is the change to the 'Return-Path'' header'." That wording, new w.r.t. Within the United States, a commercial mail receiving agency (CMRA) is a private business that accepts mail from the Postal Service on behalf of third parties. A CMRA may also be known as a mail drop. A customer of a CMRA can receive mail and other deliveries at the street address of the CMRA rather than the customer's own street address. Depending on the agreement between the customer and the CMRA, the CMRA can forward the mail to the customer or hold it for pickup.
